Software Quality Engineer I/Scrum Master/TCM

  • Anything software quality related a client may need such as validation, demos, testing (manual and automated), writing documentation, and communicating it all effectively.
  • Work with great people on a large project using the Agile and SAFe methods in the way we operate and perform business.
  • Within my Agile team I hold the roles of Scrum Master, Test Code Manager (TCM), and QA Tester (previous: QA Captain).
  • Use JavaScript and Cypress to create automated tests for client web applications.
  • Create SQL queries as validation to use in manual and automated test cases.
  • Perform merge request reviews on co-worker's JavaScript/Cypress/SQL code to ensure pipelines pass, the test cases are testing what we want it to and to the fullest degree, and that we are in line with the coding standards.
  • Help with onboarding new hires when it comes to the topics of JavaScript, Cypress, and SQL.
  • Manually test web applications and provide demos of the new features after they have been finalized.

Software Engineer/QA Automation Engineer

  • Full stack development, working on anything a client may need.
  • Used Java and Selenium to create an automation framework that is now being used for QA testing of web applications.
  • Continuous improvement of the automation framework to increase its adaptability for any situation and web application.
  • Create small Python scripts for clients to use for smaller day-to-day tasks.
  • Use the created automation framework to create test suites and test client web applications for them, and to create test suites they can use repeatedly to test their web application in the future.
  • Worked with React to create a UI for the automation framework. This, along with AWS and Java for the backend, gives non-technical uses the ability to use the automation framework for their testing needs.

  • Conducted literature reviews of scholarly articles relating to “Agricultural Internet of Things” and “Wireless Sensor Networks in Agriculture.”
  • Researched to find sensors and microcontrollers to use for my personally built system, as well as programming and implementing it into a greenhouse.
  • Worked with microcontrollers, different sensor, 3D modeling/printing, and different programming languages, with the main ones being Python and C/C++.

  • Acquired Unarmed Security License, received higher festival security training, and crowd management training.
  • Used wands and metal detectors to search for items not allowed in event areas.
  • Tasked with keeping the peace before, during, and after the event; and kept people off and out of certain areas of the event location.

  • Completed various types of training from safety and health to on-the-job tool training and handling, including OSHA 10 Construction Safety and Health.
  • Learned AutoCAD and AutoSPRINK for drawing and designing fire sprinkler systems.
  • Worked alongside other engineers to learn the basics of the NFPA 13 and 13R rules and hazards and to design fire sprinkler systems based on these rules.
  • Measured and drew out the office building and designed and drew on AutoSPRINK my own fire sprinkler system for the AFPG office building.
  • Worked with the engineers and on my own to help design actual jobs for AFPG.

  • Worked with cotton using precision agriculture for studies such as subsurface irrigation, fertilizers, biomass techniques, and planter attachments.
  • Counted flower nodes, cotton bowls, and flower buds of different varieties of cotton and for all studies, for comparison and timeline.
  • Plot maintenance, such as chopping and spraying weeds.
  • Swept bugs for bug studies.
  • Ginned cotton using a Cotton MicroGin and hand gin.
